Smelly Socks anyone???
My coach drives me to and from training/games and along the highway there are these big patches of white flowers.
"You see those white flowers over there??"
"You mean the ones that are pretty much all along the highway? They're nice".
"Maybe nice to look at but not to smell. They are actually called Smelly Socks. When the weather gets a little warmer they literally smell like dirty old socks. Here let me roll down the window for you".
Oh man thank goodness it was pretty cool outside. I did not want to smell dirty socks. They have the weirdest things over here.
I was also told that the city where I saw all those amazing gorges and where went abseiling are full of these Smelly Socks. You walk around town at night and that's all you smell. The locals are so use to it that they don't notice it anymore. Poor things, they probably don't even realize that their gorgeous little town smells like dirty old socks. I'm definitely not looking forward to it when I go back this summer.
Just imagine the prank you can pull with these flowers. Wrap it up nicey like a bouquet and when the person cuts open the seal and takes a whiff...Boom, gotcha...Hmm, maybe I'll bring "flowers" to greet my first visitor at the airport...and then introduce them to an Australian "delicacy": Vegemite...Oh the fun I'm going to have this summer...Priceless!!!
If any of you would like me to send a dozen over, just give me the word!!! I'll even FedEx it.
