You're always welcome back...

Shim got the opportunity to come to Australia for a Chiropractic student conference in Melbourne and on her way back, she came to visit Becks and I. Never in our minds did we ever envision the three of us, together, in Australia. We spoke about the possibility of her visiting but it's one of those things that you just say to people when they leave for another country. She was only in Perth for three nights but it was better than nothing. It was really nice to have her visit and be able to talk about Waterloo and Toronto. There are quite a few other Canadians in our program but there's no one I can talk to who lives and experiences the Torontorian lifestyle. Everyone knows I love Toronto and is very proud of the fact that I'm from there. Just hanging out with the three of us reminded me of the days in Waterloo. Those were good times.

I think having Shim here have just confirmed how much I miss Toronto and being around friends and family who have grown up with me. Shim, thanks for coming to visit us. You didn't have a lot of time in this country and I really do appreciate you deciding to come visit us. It's always nice having old friends see how and where we live in Australia. You're always welcome back!!!
