Four written exams down so far and only one more tomorrow. Then only two days of prac exams before this semester is officially over. I can't wait, although this semester has gone by extremely fast and was quite enjoyable.
Immediately after exams I am planning to go up to Broome for a week with some of my housemates. There was a really good flight special going on a few months back so we decided to jump on it. I didn't think I would get a chance to go up there because it is so far up north. I heard it was really amazing up there. Broome's known for its camel rides, rising moon, and like all of Australia, it's amazing National Parks. We're actually camping on the beach where you can watch the moon rise. It'll be amazing.
Then when I get back I have to start my self directed placement. Basically we do our prac on anything we want as long as its for 90 hours. You can either find your own supervisor and organize a topic or choose form a list that the school has organized. A lot of people are doing things like making a pamphlet or poster, just to get it done fast and something supposedly easy. I, however, wanted to do something in ergonomics and something that would be really challenging. I'm going to be working at Worksafe WA and they are giving me my own office or workstation and a laptop. Geez I feel like it's a real job. I went to visit the office earlier this week and it looked so professional with everyone dressed up in business suits and all. Oh and I'll actually be going out for two weeks doing Ergonomic Assessments with one of the ergo inspectors. How cool is that? Okay, maybe not to anyone else but I love ergonomics/biomechanics and this really excites me.
